Educate. Empower. Elevate.
After leaving the European Parliament, I chose to invest my time and energy into something that still reflects my core values: equal opportunity, inclusion, and the belief that everyone deserves a chance to grow — no matter where they come from.
For me, education has always been more than a path to a diploma — it’s a key to freedom, dignity, and second chances.
That’s why I proudly serve, in an honorary capacity, as Europe Representative and Board Member of the European Business Institute of Luxembourg (https://ebulux.lu). EBU offers fully online, affordable degree and certificate programmes to learners across Europe, Africa, Latin America, and beyond.
This isn’t a job — it’s a mission I believe in.
In this role, I:
Promote accessible education for women, youth, and people from underrepresented backgrounds
Advocate for partnerships with civil society, institutions, and NGOs to reach those often left behind
Support inclusive scholarship programmes, especially for those who thought studying abroad would never be possible
Communicate EBU’s values through campaigns that speak to resilience, diversity, and empowerment
So far, hundreds of students have found their way to EBU — not because they had the right connections, but because they had the courage to dream bigger. I see myself in many of them.
